One of my weaknesses is books. One of my guilty pleasures is romance novels. Though I wouldn't consider www.marjoriemliu.com a romance author per se, that's what she's mainly marketed as. The main arc of her stories generally focuses on the hero and heroine sure, but the way she writes is so much more rich and beautiful than whatever idea you had/have about the romance genre. Her first book in the Dirk and Steele series, Tiger Eye, is honestly one of my favorite books of all time. It's one that I read over and over again when I'm having a hard, ugly day. There's something about it that speaks very much to me, and is like a warm fuzzy blanket for my heart and other various innards. But mostly my heart.
One of my other weaknesses is video games. So it's no wonder that with a fangirlish glee, I nearly squealed when I found out that www.passionfruitgames.com is turning Tiger Eye into a computer game. It's a genre that I've only recently become aware of - "casual games". Think of it as something like Myst, but with less frustration and more people. There is a contest to win a copy for beta testing if you post a link to the Passionfruit Games site. So, unashamedly, here it is.

I am the kind of person who, generally, does not say something unless it is worth saying. Why then, do I have this inane desire to post silly, stream-of-consciousness nonsense? Why this sudden urge to prattle on about "God only knows what" to an imaginary audience?
Why did I, of all people, create a LiveJournal account???
To be continued, I suppose...
